In the Month of May the city of Florence dedicates a beautifull procession to the Virgin Mary, and we are glad to share it with you.

Instituto Cristo Re e Sommo Sacerdote and San Gaetano parrish promote a Rosary across the streets of the city, starting in Annunziata to end in San Gaetano.

Devotion to Mary is deeply joint to the history and the flourishing of Florence. Annunciation and Incarnation are the insipiration of the main artistic production from Middle Age. Florence means “Flower”, and it has definitly come to point the flower of Annunciation, offered to Mary by the Angel, and thus the moment of Incarnation, the free and courageous “Yes” of Mary to God’s will. The Cathedral is a majestic representiont of the Mistery of Incarnation, openly dedicated to “Saint Mary of the Flower”.

It is not a case the procession starts from Santissima Annunziata: here the devotion to Mary has really blossomed, in the Sanctuary founded by Servants of Mary, religious order originated in Florence in the XIII century, a column of city devotion.

The holy procession will be held on Saturday the 26th of May, starting at 7 p.m. and all devouts are invited.
